Enjoy the exciting features and ride all of the new sections and improvements from the ongoing Poto Revitalization Project while continuing to support the trails you love. \nSince 2020\, the Tree Fort Bikes – Triple Trail Challenge has raised an incredible $100\,000 for the Potawatomi Trail’s Poto Revitalization Project\, and for 2026\, we’re continuing our fundraising focus on the DTE Energy Foundation Trails. Every single penny of profit goes directly back into maintaining and improving these incredible trails. Triple Trail Challenge is the single largest fund-raiser for the Poto MBA\, so register today! \n Registration \nThe Tree Fort Bikes – Triple Trail Challenge will run for two days: Friday\, September 18th\, and Saturday\, September 19th! (Rain date September 20th) This means pre-registration is mandatory\, and once we hit our cap of 1\,000 riders\, entries will close.  \nRegister here. 2026 T-shirts and beer glasses are available for pre-order only which ends August 24th.  \nPacket pickup \nThere will be no day-of registration. Be sure to pick up your number plate\, wristband\, map\, and any purchased gear at one of these convenient locations: \n\nTree Fort Bikes (1866 Whittaker Rd\, Ypsilanti): September 11th – September 18th\nJolly Pumpkin Dexter (2319 Bishop Cir E\, Dexter): Thursday\, September 17th\, 7-9pm\nMorning of the event: Limited pickup available if you can’t make the other times.\n\nRemember to bring enough food\, water\, a spare tube\, pump\, and all other essentials for a strenuous 45 mile ride. The aid station and after party with post ride food and entertainment will take place on Saturday only (rain date Sunday the 19th) and are provided by Tree Fort Bikes.   \nThe Route \nThe route is the same as 2025! We are excited to use trailmaps.app as our official event map! \nThis app is custom-built to keep you on the right trail without any hassle\, offering everything you need to navigate the course with confidence. View the official Triple Trail Challenge map here: https://trailmaps.app/ttc/  \nThis year’s route kicks off at the Poto trailhead within Pinckney State Recreation Area. From the Potawatomi Trail\, you’ll transition to a short gravel road leading you to Prospect Hill. Here\, you’ll experience some truly epic singletrack\, exclusively open for the Triple Trail Challenge. Next\, you’ll navigate a few scenic gravel roads to reach the renowned DTE Energy Foundation Trail\, where you’ll get a taste of all four loops. \nThe journey continues onto sections of the Waterloo Pinckney Trail\, another segment specifically accessible only for this event. Finally\, you’ll loop back to the Potawatomi Trail\, where you’ll encounter the challenging climbs and exhilarating descents that “Poto” is famous for\, all ending in an epic finish at Silver Lake. \nWe will have two aid stations this year. One at the pavilion at the Cassidy Rd. parking lot and one near the Tunnel under M-52 and the entry onto the Poto-DTE connector.   \nBe aware that trails may run through areas open to hunting\, so orange or bright colors are recommended. \nMembership promotion – Join or renew your IMBA membership with auto renew at 2026 TTC and you will receive a free limited edition Poto pint glass.  \nTriple Trail Volunteers Needed! \nWe need your help! For this event to run smoothly\, we need many volunteers during TTC and beforehand. A little of your time can go a long way! You can volunteer and still do the ride. Sign up for one of the many flexible volunteer options on Sept. 19 here or to help with handing out merchandise and registration packets at Jolly Pumpkin Dexter on Sept. 17th here.

SUMMARY:Black Friday Ride at Rolling Hills
DESCRIPTION:Black Friday Ride at Rolling Hills \n\n\n\n\n\nJoin the Potowatomi Mountain Biking Association’s 18th Annual Black Friday MTB and Gravel Ride at Rolling Hills and Hewens Creek parks in Ypsilanti Township takes place on Friday 11/27 at 10 AM. This event is a fun\, casual\, no-drop group ride and is a great chance for novice MTBer’s to get exposure to single track & gravel riding\, meet new riders and burn off that Thanksgiving feast to get a jump start on 2027 fitness plans.  After the ride\, we’ll enjoy pizza and brews sponsored by Wheels in Motion bike shop.  Please register in advance free-of-charge for the Black Friday Ride on SignUpGenius so we have an accurate headcount for food and drinks afterwards. \n\n\nThe MTB ride will be ~15 miles long covering ~6.0 miles at Hewens Creek and ~7.0 miles at Rolling Hills along with some connecting trail between the two parks. For those who are unfamiliar with these trails\, Hewens Creek is flat & winding ride through meadows and new growth forest which is great for beginner riders. The RHP trail on the other hand twists and turns through 4+ miles of forest and rolling hills along with ~3 miles of open meadows providing a great opportunity to improve your bike handling skills: 14.9M Black Friday MTB on Ride with GPS. \n\n\nThere will be two gravel rides again this year of 16 and 29 miles\, respectively\, on the sparsely trafficked roads south of Rolling Hills Park. The gravel rides will leave at the same time as the MTB ride: 16.1M Black Friday Gravel and 29M Black Friday Gravel. The Bemis Rd construction project from Hitchingham to Stony Creek has been completed so\, unfortunately\, there will be a bit more pavement at the end of the gravel rides. \n\n\nMeet at the Rolling Hills Lodge at 9:45 AM and then we will head out by 10:10 AM latest. After the ride\, we will refuel with pizza and refreshments at The Lodge between 12:30 and 1 PM. Rain date will be Saturday 11/28 at 10 AM. Look for changes in schedule on the Poto MBA Facebook page. \n\n\nPlease park in the MTB trail head parking lot: enter the park\, go straight through the traffic circle and park in the first lot on your right next to a big pavilion ~1/4 mile west of the circle. The Lodge will be about 200 yards away on your left. There may be a gate charge to enter RHP. It is a Washtenaw County Park (WCP) so if you already have a WCP sticker you are good to go. \n\n\nFor those looking for more miles\, there’s a 46-mile gravel option from RHP but it won’t be an official part of the event. Also\, since the RHP and HCP trails are well suited for gravel and cross bikes too\, it’s easy to do any of the gravel rides and hop on the HCP MTB trail from Bemis or Hitchingham Roads towards the end of your ride. If you and friends choose this option\, plan to start earlier and aim to return to The Lodge by 12:30 to 12:45 PM. But sign up for one of the other gravel rides to be counted towards food and beverages. \n\nLast but definitely not least\, we have to thank Wheels in Motion for supporting Poto MBA and the local bike community by sponsoring the BFR since its inaugural event in 2009.
